The Tashkent TV tower, completed in 1985, is a prominent landmark in Uzbekistan. Standing at a height of 375 meters, it held the title of the tallest building in the country and was the third tallest in the former USSR, surpassed only by the Ostankino and Kiev TV towers. Architects Yu. Semashko and N. Terzieva-Tsarukova began working on the project in 1978, dedicating several years to testing its reliability and seismic stability.
